Non Destructive Digging (PAS128:2014 QL-A Survey):
At Utility Mapping, we use non-destructive digging (NDD) as a safe way of exposing underground utilities within your site by using the latest Vacuum Excavation (Vac Ex) technology. These type of surveys helps expose and verify a utility position, and this process also helps gather additional data attributes such as type, size, material, configuration and reduced level.
This information is then collated and displayed within a trial hole report and is used to update and verify a previously undertaken QL-B Utility Mapping survey. This enables the planning, design and execution of works in a safer and more efficient manner In consultation with the client project team. Our team at Utility Mapping will prove the located utilities using NDD methods and ensure compliance with PAS128:2014 QL-A Service Verification, as is the case with every underground utility mapping survey we conduct.
UK Leaders For Non-Destructive Digging
We have the experience, equipment, technology and resources to keep up with the demand of a dynamic project. As soon as the utility is proven, the data is available for engineers and designers to access through our cloud-based GIS portal. The information obtained during an NDD survey can be provided in 2D and 3D formats.
